Megan Hesser is a native of Indiana who has called Wyoming home for over a decade. The struggles of her bright son trying to learn to read put Megan on an unexpected journey into K-3 literacy and the science of reading. She is a candidate for a Master’s degree in Reading Science from Mount St. Joseph University. She decided to pursue this degree to help her better navigate the world of literacy education as she advocates for the children being left behind in the classroom.

Brittany Jensen is a lifetime resident of Wyoming and currently resides in Casper. She considers herself blessed to be a stay-at-home mother to four amazing children. She is on a journey of discovery as she strives to support her dyslexic son. She believes that parents play an irreplaceable roll in the success of our students and has made it her mission to build up a steadfast and robust pillar of parental support for Wyoming’s struggling readers. She is eager to team up with parents, teachers, and leaders across the state to ensure that all of Wyoming’s readers have what they need to succeed.

Dondi Tondro-Smith considers reading to be the educational equity every person deserves. She resides in Wilson, Wyoming where she currently works for Teton County Public Health. As a mother to a twice exceptional (2E) dyslexic learner, and with several years of homeschooling experience, she's navigated in and out of the public school system. Her daughter's educational journey has provided a greater understanding of the layered social/emotional/educational challenges neurodiverse students face. She is committed to supporting parent/teacher collaboration and legislative measures that uplift families and better serve all of Wyoming's readers.

Amy Day is CERI certified as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist. She has a Master’s in Education and has taught first grade for the past 24 years. She is currently working to become a Certified member of the Academy of Orton Gillingham. She is passionate about the fact that all children can learn to read with the correct instruction. Her passion is fueled by her dyslexic daughter. Her mission is to educate children and assist parents navigating the turbulent waters of having a struggling learner. She enjoys spending time on her family farm.
